About the role
The day-to-day of this professional involves building the foundational experience of our products, connecting with our product squads, gaining diverse insights, and integrating these to create a single, consistent, efficient, and structured user experience.
You will work directly with the business, technology, and implementation teams, exercising autonomy while breaking down silos through a user-centered approach. You will be directly involved in modernizing journeys and applying our experience principles, ensuring that all premises are implemented correctly.
A key component of this role is conducting user research to understand user and industry needs, preferences, and pain points. You will need a deep dive into industry trends, pains and benchmarks, ensuring that our solutions are competitive and relevant.
What you’ll do
- UI/Visual Design: Create user-friendly interfaces, graphic and digital elements that clearly and accessibly represent Voyager’s personality, considering color, composition, typography, iconography, visual hierarchy, language, and movement.
- Usability testing: Plan and execute usability tests to evaluate design effectiveness and ease of use. Gather feedback through user interviews, task-based testing, and behavior analysis to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with Product and Engineering to iterate designs based on insights.
- Conducting an End-to-End Process: from understanding the client's needs, conceptualizing, prototyping, to quality assurance and checklist.
- Prototyping: Create mock-ups and prototypes that clearly communicate to customers, software engineers, or even investors how our application should function and look like
- Information Architecture: organizing and structuring content to make it easily accessible.
- Interaction Design: creating engaging and functional interactions between users and our applications and interfaces, making sure interactions are intuitive, efficient, and user-centered.
What we are looking for
- Fluent in English
- Professional experience with Figma or other design tools
- Ability to conduct usability testing sessions
- Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn about maritime shipping
- A research and hypothesis-driven mindset
- Experience/interest in logistics and supply chain within the energy or commodity industry
- Experience/interest in the maritime industry
