About Voyager

Voyager Portal is a Demurrage & Voyage Management platform that helps some of the biggest

traders and manufacturers in the world reduce and optimize shipping costs.

Picture the work of an Oil manufacturer managing its maritime supply chain. This involves

dealing with a network of shipping companies, cargo handling facilities, ports, and customs &

regulatory agencies, ensuring all financial and logistical indicators are in order. With Voyager,

chartering and demurrage teams can increase operational performance by automating manual

tasks, connecting all their counterparties in one platform, and using real-time insights to reduce

significant voyage costs such as freight and demurrage.

About the role

This is a remote position for candidates based in Brazil. We are looking for an AI Engineer. The

core of the Voyager application’s are NodeJS in the backend and VueJS in the front. Detailed

responsibilities include:

• Manage and direct processes and R&D (research and development) to meet the needs of our AI strategy
• Understand company and client challenges and how integrating AI capabilities can help lead to solutions
• Analyze and explain AI and machine learning (ML) solutions while setting and maintaining high ethical standards
• Advise C-suite executives and business leaders on a broad range of technology, strategy, and policy issues associated with AI
• Work on functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, and defining support procedures, in collaboration with an advanced engineering team and executive leadership
• Articulate and document the solutions architecture and lessons learned for each exploration and accelerated incubation

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in developing and deploying AI and machine learning models
• STRONG English skills, both written and spoken
• Two or more years of experience in applying AI to practical and comprehensive technology solutions
• Experience configuring LLMs
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Node
• Basic knowledge of AWS

Bonus

• Knowledge of VueJS
• Interest / knowledge in the maritime industry
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field
