About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Controller to oversee the financial operations of the business and to ensure accuracy in all accounting and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial integrity, developing and executing internal controls and processes, and providing strategic financial insights to support our growth. The expectation is that you will implement best practices in order to ensure we have a streamlined, effective and a esprit de corps with our operations brethren. Additionally, the Controller will lead the operational aspects of the implementation of NetSuite under the guidance and direction of the CFO. This position is a unique opportunity that blends several areas of finance and accounting, as you will be responsible for the month end closing, financial statement accuracy and financial planning and analysis.
What You’ll Own
- Oversee all accounting/finance operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure accuracy and security of financial data.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and statutory requirements.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Lead the preparation of audits (internal and external) and tax filings.
- Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to optimize financial health.
- Collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations for business strategy.
- Implement and maintain accounting systems and tools that support efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, corporate policies, and industry-specific financial regulations.
- Understanding transfer pricing and legal entity accounting.
- Manage and mentor a team of accountants and finance professionals.
What You Need To Succeed
- Self-starter mentality and proactive communication skills with a desire to build and grow themselves and the finance function
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or Controller role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and statutory reporting requirements..
- Experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar) and financial modeling.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into strategic insights.
- Understanding the details with the ability to summarize and communicate with senior management.
- Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Presentations) is preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience in SaaS and/or services industries is preferred.
- International experience is preferred
- Commitment to work in the office (360 bridge) once a week
