Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled SMT Programmer to join our production team, specializing in programming and operating Mycronic 200 & 300 pick-and-place machines. The ideal candidate will also have experience with Aegis FactoryLogix software, enabling efficient production, data management, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SMT Programming:
    • Develop and optimize SMT programs for Mycronic 200 & 300 pick-and-place machines based on PCB (Printed Circuit Board) designs and BOM (Bill of Materials).
    • Configure machine parameters, feeder setup, and nozzle selection to ensure high accuracy and efficiency in SMT processes.
    • Perform new product introduction (NPI) setups, including machine configurations and test runs.
    • Analyze and resolve issues related to machine programming, component placement, and solder paste printing.
  • Machine Operation & Maintenance:
    • Set up and operate Mycronic 200 & 300 pick-and-place machines, ensuring smooth production flow and adherence to production schedules.
    • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot any operational issues to minimize downtime.
    • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of SMT equipment to maintain optimal performance.
  • Aegis FactoryLogix Integration:
    • Utilize Aegis FactoryLogix software for production planning, monitoring, and reporting.
    • Implement process improvements by integrating FactoryLogix data for real-time monitoring and efficiency tracking.
    • Ensure accurate data capture for traceability and quality control throughout the SMT process.
  • Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement:
    • Conduct visual inspections and quality checks on SMT assemblies to ensure compliance with IPC standards.
    • Collaborate with the quality team to identify defects and implement corrective actions.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, reduce waste, and increase yield.
  • Collaboration & Documentation:
    • Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure programs align with design specifications.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of machine settings, programs, and production workflows.
    • Provide training and support to operators and other team members as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience programming and operating Mycronic 200 & 300 pick-and-place machines.
  • Proficiency with Aegis FactoryLogix software for production management and traceability.
  • Strong understanding of SMT processes, PCB assembly, and electronics manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with IPC standards and SMT quality control procedures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Education & Experience:

  • Associate's degree or technical certification in Electronics, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in SMT programming and machine operation.
  • Experience with Aegis FactoryLogix software is required.

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing/Production environment with the use of SMT equipment.
  • Ability to stand, sit, and lift up to 25 lbs regularly during machine setup and maintenance.
