As we scale, we are looking for a People Business Partner (PBP) to support leaders and teams in our Golden office. This role sits at the intersection of people, leadership, and business execution. You will work closely with engineering and operations leaders to build strong teams, develop managers, and ensure that Loft remains a place where talented people can do the best work of their careers.

This is a high-trust, highly embedded role. The right person will be present with the teams they support, working onsite 4–5 days per week to build strong relationships and help leaders solve real problems in real time.

About this Role:

    Be the People team face of the Golden office

  • Serve as the primary People contact for all Golden-based employees
  • Answer day-to-day questions on policies, benefits, leaves, and accommodations
  • Connect employees to the right resources when needed
  • Partner with workplace experience and/or facilities on employee experience
  • Be the local point of contact during company-wide People rollouts (open enrollment, performance cycles, policy updates)
  • Support employees through key moments

  • Participate in onboarding of new Golden hires and follow up for their first 6 months
  • Support employees through leaves, accommodations, and life events
  • Work with employees who have leadership outside of Golden, this can include France, San Francisco, and remote
  • Support managers and leaders

  • Coach managers on feedback, performance, and team dynamics
  • Help leaders address people's challenges early and fairly
  • Support performance review cycles and development planning
  • Help leaders identify top performers, develop emerging talent, and address performance issues effectively and fairly.
  • Handle employee relations

  • Be the first point of contact for employee concerns
  • Conduct investigations when needed with good judgment and discretion
  • Help leaders navigate sensitive situations
  • Ensure decisions are consistent and aligned with Loft's values
  • Keep Loft compliant and informed

  • Stay current on Colorado employment law, including FAMLI and local leave requirements
  • Understand the needs of non-exempt employees
  • Flag risks and keep leaders informed of anything that needs attention
  • Contribute to broader People work

  • Partner with the global People Operations team on company-wide programs and rollouts
  • Share patterns and insights to help improve how we work
  • Contribute on projects as the role and your capacity grow

Must Haves:

  • 5-8 years of People or HR experience, with time spent in a generalist or site People role
  • Comfortable being the go-to person for employees and managers alike
  • Strong employee relations experience with sound judgment
  • Clear communicator who builds trust quickly
  • Able to handle a wide range of requests without losing sight of what matters most
  • High integrity, discretion, and follow-through

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience in aerospace, hardware, manufacturing, or deep tech
  • Experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up
  • Experience supporting technical specialists transitioning into management

State law requires us to tell you the base compensation range for this role, which is $100,000- $130,000 per year in Colorado This is determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The salary range for this role is intentionally wide as we evaluate individuals based on their unique experience and abilities to fit our needs.
