Wanna join the adventure? The Business Development team at Loft is looking for a motivated and dynamic intern. The intern will support us mostly on Strategic Marketing, and will support us in our BD and Sales daily work.
What can we offer? Joining our team, you will be given responsibilities from day 1 to support us on both structural and operational tasks. Your main tasks will involve research, analysis, mapping, providing conclusions to the team to better understand our market environment - both on demand and supply. Your work will have a strong impact on our BD team, enabling us to refine our tactics. BD implying relations with cross-functional teams (engineering, programmes, legal, finance, etc.), you will be given the chance to have a wide exposure to all Loft’s cutting-edge technologies. Loft BD team being spread between France, the US and the UAE, you will be joining an international team, at human scale. Trained and coached over your journey at Loft, the objective will be to offer you a permanent position in Loft Toulouse.

About this role:
- Loft’s Sales and Business Development (BD) department is looking for its first intern in Toulouse, France. As intern, you will play a critical role in helping us better understand our business opportunities, having a thorough understanding of our market environment, both from a supply and demand perspective. From day one, you’ll be supporting us on strategic activities that will have a direct influence on our Sales and BD effort.
- Market Research and Analysis: support in better understanding our market from both supply and demand sides, to help Loft better position itself from Sales and Marketing perspectives.
- Strategic Mapping: help us identify opportunities and potential partners through mapping exercises;
- Business Cases: support the BD team in the consolidation of innovative business cases for emerging business models;
- Proposals and Presentations: support in building proposals and presentations (Word, PPT) for both internal and external stakeholders;
- Conference and Event Planning: support in organisation of events and conferences enabling Loft to showcase our cutting-edge technologies and connect with key players in the industry;
- Competitor Analysis: Monitor industry trends, benchmark competitors, and provide actionable recommendations;
- Customer Insights: Support the identification of new customers across our different business models, help identify new market segments.
- Content Contribution: Collaborate on marketing materials (including proposals, white papers, articles, etc.), to enhance Loft’s visibility and thought leadership.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, programs, finance, and legal teams to ensure alignment across departments.

This role offers you unique exposure in a fast-growing company with a very unique positioning in the space sector. Joining our team, you’ll be part of a very international (25+ nationalities), human-sized team with members across France, the US, and the UAE. With personalized coaching and mentorship throughout the internship, our aim is to prepare you for a potential permanent position at Loft Toulouse.
Must-Haves:
- Strong interest in the space industry, especially technical and business aspects
- Solid analytical and research skills (collecting, analysing, structuring, mapping data/information)
- Excellent writing and speaking skills in English
- Ability to structure messages in a clear and concise way, with a strong attention to detail
- Autonomy, organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite especially with PPT and Excel
Nice-to-Haves:
- Knowledge of space engineering, technologies and/or space applications
- French fluency
Target Start Date: Early 2025 for a 6-month internship.

Loft Orbital builds “shareable” satellites, providing a fast & simple path to orbit for organizations that require access to space. Powered by our hardware & software products, we operate satellites, fly customer payloads onboard, and handle entire missions from end to end - significantly reducing the lead-time and risk of a traditional space mission.
