Senior Global Benefits Manager - Operations COE

Category Human Resources Location San Diego, California; Mountain View, California Job ID 22747

Company Overview

Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

Intuit takes pride in providing exceptional benefits for our employees around the globe and creating “done-for-you,” experiences for our employees to engage with their benefits. Global benefits operations are the vital engine that enables Intuit to provide these benefits and help our employees thrive.

We are looking for a manager of Global Benefits Processes and Operations to bring both tactical and strategic excellence to this role. Your deep subject matter expertise, quality obsession and stakeholder management skills drive you to collaborate and align on every detail across your myriad of partners - other members of the Benefits team, HRIS, payroll, legal, tax, shared services, HR support, communications and various external vendors - to deliver a seamless, flawless experience for our employees. Your rich experience and strategic vision enable you to anticipate barriers or complexity, proactively raise opportunities to simplify the design or operations, plan with our partners effectively for resources, and advise the Benefits team on timing or approach so we avoid overloading our partners and ecosystem.

You are agile, collaborative, pragmatic and solution-oriented. You are curious, welcome diverse perspectives, engage in respectful debate, and do not hesitate to share your own ideas and concerns. You build coalitions naturally. You are committed to quality and excellence above all else; you take accountability easily and ask “how can I help?”

You'll lead and develop a talented team responsible for global benefits operations and processes. Your scope includes:

  • Benefits administration, including annual enrollment, management of the vendors that administer our enrollment, integration with payroll and HRIS, and data audits and controls

  • Implementation of benefit changes and new vendors

  • M&A integrations and country expansions

  • Process improvements and efficiencies

  • Data warehouse management and expansion

You will manage a process-focused team where you excel at adding disciplined rigor and efficiencies. With that in mind, your scope may grow over time to include other recurring processes that exist within Benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and cultivate the growth of a high performing team responsible for global benefits operations in all of our existing geographies

  • Serve as deep subject matter expert on benefits operations and implementations; using your expertise to lead the team at scale, ensure the team is delivering with excellence and anticipating complexities

  • Ensure excellence in day-to-day benefits operations and administration, including transaction processing, performing financial reconciliations and consistency checks across multiple sources of data, and ensuring the accuracy of payroll deductions

  • Manage vendor relationships and performance for outsourced benefits administration, holding vendors accountable while maintaining productive, collaborative relationships

  • Lead annual enrollment, including updating administrative systems, testing, leading cross functional efforts, managing timelines and reviewing communications

  • Manage points of data integration and ensure a seamless data flow across benefits systems, HRIS and payroll

  • Develop, maintain and execute playbooks and standards of practice to ensure we are conducting regular quality checks, applying appropriate controls, and have sustainable protocols and operational excellence

  • Lead the benefits operations related to M&A, including vendor transitions, benefits enrollment and partnering with HRIS, payroll and benefits administrators for eligibility files and integrations

  • Lead the implementation of benefit enhancements and new vendors, ensuring timely alignment, planned resources, and deep cohesion across all impacted teams - Benefits, HRIS, payroll, legal, finance, tax, communications, sourcing, information security, and others as needed.

  • Actively contribute to the Benefits team roadmap using your expertise, such as anticipating and alleviating implementation bottlenecks where the same teams are impacted by multiple initiatives, suggesting design alterations that could simplify operations, reduce risk or improve the employee experience, and driving enhancements or changes to our external benefits administration vendors

  • Actively participate in the Benefits team stakeholder management efforts to ensure that there are no surprises amongst our key partners for upcoming and ongoing implementations and initiatives

  • Identify and lead process improvement, automation, and AI-enablement opportunities within recurring benefits operations work.

  • Partner in operationalizing the benefits data warehouse and developing dashboards and reporting that measure the effectiveness of benefit programs.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in global benefits operations, including US healthcare and 401(k) administration, as well as non-US benefits

  • Proven experience leading teams through vendor transitions, plan design changes, and complex, multi-stakeholder implementations, including integrating new solutions into (or carving out of) US medical plans

  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and collaboration across cross-functional partners (HRIS, payroll, tax, shared services, communications)

  • Experience managing outsourced benefits administration vendors, including performance management and escalation

  • Expertise with process improvement, automation, or AI-enabled efficiency work within benefits operations

  • Strong people leadership skills, with a track record of developing team members and expanding their scope and confidence

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate operational complexity into clear guidance for non-specialist audiences
