Job Overview

As a Merchant Services Strategic Sr. Account Manager at Intuit, you will play a vital role in driving growth and expanding merchant services through our accountant partner ecosystem. Your primary objective is to build trusted relationships with accountant partners, gaining a deep understanding of their clients' businesses, financial workflows, and payment processing needs. Leveraging your industry expertise, you will demonstrate our core merchant services capabilities and recommend the ideal payment solution stack to help accountant partners better serve their clients. Collaborating closely with internal cross-functional teams, you will ensure seamless execution and partner success, contributing directly to Intuit's mission of empowering accountants to grow their practices while helping small businesses thrive.


Responsibilities

  • Exemplify Intuit's core values and foster an inclusive, collaborative, and innovative environment.
  • Proactively identify and deliver strategic business improvement opportunities and tailored recommendations for existing mid-market accounts.
  • Articulate Intuit's premium value proposition within the merchant services and payment domain, maintaining a deep understanding of competitor strategies.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and ROI business cases to C-level executives to facilitate long-term partnerships.
  • Grow and manage a robust sales and expansion funnel, maintaining a sustainable sales cycle to consistently achieve quarterly revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with multi-level internal and external stakeholders to navigate complex buying and procurement processes.
  • Serve as a cross-functional facilitator, aligning cross-company resources to support account growth, scalability, and execution.
  • Measure and track personal success through metrics including quota attainment, close rates, pipeline velocity, and customer retention improvements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of quota-carrying technology/software sales and corporate account management experience.
  • Extensive experience in territory management across multiple states and highly diverse industry verticals.
  • Thorough understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) software workflows related to complex money movement.
  • Proven experience managing multi-location corporate accounts with annual revenues exceeding $5M.
  • Deep domain expertise in Merchant Services, payment processing, commercial card acquisition, and risk management standards.
  • Demonstrated success selling merchant services platform solutions with custom-negotiated rates, interchange models, and contracts.
  • Strong business acumen with high proficiency in pipeline management via Salesforce.
  • Prior experience selling financial management, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), or core accounting software systems.
  • Familiarity with structured enterprise sales methodologies such as Challenger, SPIN, Solution, or Sandler.
  • Bachelor's degree or MBA preferred, or equivalent practical work experience
