Principal, Monetization Strategy
Company Overview
Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.
Job Overview
Intuit is on a mission to help small and mid-market businesses grow with us as their business grows. A key element is evolving how we price and package our business platform — across QuickBooks, Payroll, Payments, Mailchimp, and Intuit Intelligence — so that customers, from solo entrepreneurs to CFOs, get clear value at every stage of their growth.
We are seeking a Principal, Pricing & Monetization Strategy with strong commercial instincts, cross-functional experience, and expertise in data-driven pricing to shape how Intuit's platform creates and captures value. You will partner cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, data analysts, market researchers, finance, and marketers to design pricing and packaging that supports adoption, growth, and long-term value for both our current products and next-generation innovations.
Responsibilities
- Own pricing strategy and packaging architecture across Intuit's business platform — including tiering, good/better/best design, price-point setting, discount logic, and monetization guardrails for a self-serve, product-led motion.
- Design framework and test new commercial models — including subscription, consumption-based, and outcome-based monetization for AI and platform capabilities; translate novel features into durable pricing constructs.
- Build the analytical foundation for pricing decisions — willingness-to-pay studies, price elasticity, conjoint analysis, A/B price testing, demand modeling, and P&L/business-case development.
- Define and drive a pricing learning agenda in partnership with Data Science, market research, and Consumer Insights to continually sharpen willingness-to-pay, elasticity, and price-timing understanding.
- Develop pricing principles and frameworks that scale across products, segments, and geographies — moving the org from one-off recommendations to repeatable strategy.
- Partner cross-functionally (Product, Growth, Finance, Marketing, Legal) and influence senior and executive decision-making.
- Monitor competitive and adjacent-market dynamics and the performance of live pricing changes, iterating based on results.
- Mentor and uplevel pricing analysts and strategists as a player-coach, raising the bar for monetization craft across the team.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in pricing, monetization, corporate/product strategy, or top-tier management consulting, with a core focus on monetization and pricing.
- Proven track record architecting and driving large-scale pricing and packaging programs with measurable revenue/profit impact.
- Deep fluency in value-based pricing, packaging design, and modern monetization models (subscription, consumption-based, outcome-based, freemium/PLG).
- Resourceful with modern AI tools — comfortable working with LLMs, connecting data through MCP, and building your own dashboards and analyses to answer pricing questions quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to create clarity out of ambiguity with a hypothesis-driven problem-solving approach, and to translate complexity into recommendations that influence executive stakeholders
- Excellent cross-functional influence and executive communication; able to lead and align stakeholders across the organization.
- Direct-to-consumer or self-serve/PLG monetization experience strongly preferred; SaaS and/or fintech background a plus.
- A collaborative, low-ego teammate who builds strong relationships and contributes to a positive team culture — we care as much about how you work as what you deliver.
- Bachelor's required; MBA or advanced quantitative/economics degree preferred.
