We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

We are hiring a Manager 3, Creative Services to define and drive the creative vision for Credit Karma's member-facing ecosystem across email, push notifications, in-app messaging, lifecycle journeys, CRM, and emerging owned touchpoints.

In this role, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of creative directors, writers, designers, content strategists, and producers - establishing the systems, storytelling frameworks, and operating models that enable personalized experiences at scale for more than 130 million members. This role sits at the intersection of brand building, customer experience, product storytelling, and lifecycle marketing, partnering closely with Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, Lifecycle, Growth, Data Science, and Product Design to drive engagement, retention, trust, and financial progress.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve Credit Karma's creative vision and standards across all owned channels, ensuring every touchpoint feels useful, human, and unmistakably on-brand.

  • Build a unified creative system that balances brand excellence, personalization at scale, and operational efficiency.

  • Lead and develop a team of Creative Directors, Art Directors, Writers, Designers, and Content Strategists, fostering creativity, accountability, and continuous growth.

  • Partner with Lifecycle Marketing, Product Marketing, Growth, and Analytics to translate business objectives and member insights into compelling creative strategies across onboarding, engagement, retention, cross-sell, and win-back programs.

  • Lead the exploration and scaling of AI-powered creative and automation capabilities, building operating models that combine AI tooling with human-centered storytelling and creative judgment.

  • Shape Credit Karma's voice, tone, and content frameworks to support consistent yet personalized messaging across millions of member interactions.

  • Champion experimentation, using data and member insights to continuously improve creative effectiveness.

  • Lead executive-level reviews and presentations, influencing senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners.

  • Oversee external agencies, freelancers, and production resources as needed.

  • Drive measurable outcomes including member engagement, retention, product adoption, and brand affinity.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years in creative leadership within in-house, agency, technology, consumer, or financial services environments.

  • 5+ years leading senior creative talent including Creative Directors, Art Directors, Writers, and Designers.

  • Proven experience leading large-scale owned channel ecosystems: lifecycle marketing, CRM, email, push, content, editorial, and social.

  • Demonstrated success building creative organizations and systems that support high-volume, personalized content production at scale.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing strategic thinking, creative excellence, and measurable business impact.

  • Exceptional presentation, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Deep understanding of customer journey design, audience segmentation, and modern digital communication platforms.

  • Familiarity with AI-powered creative and marketing technologies, including generative AI and automation tools.

What we'd like to see:

  • Experience in consumer technology, fintech, financial services, subscription, or digital-first businesses.

  • Expertise in lifecycle marketing, CRM strategy, retention, and personalization frameworks.

  • Experience building in-house creative organizations supporting multiple business units.

  • Demonstrated success evaluating and scaling AI-enabled workflows and human-in-the-loop operating models.

  • Strong operational leadership: resource planning, budgeting, organizational design, and vendor management.

  • Experience overseeing content strategy, editorial operations, and organic social programs.

  • Passion for mentoring diverse creative talent and building inclusive, high-performing teams.

  • Collaborative and empathetic leader aligned with Credit Karma's values: Hope, Ownership, Progress, and Empathy (H.O.P.E.).
