Job Overview
Intuit Credit Karma seeks a visionary Staff Data Scientist who will revolutionize our recommendation engine in ad technology by harnessing the latest advancements in machine learning and GenAI. As a technical leader and mentor, you will drive the development of next-generation AI-powered monetization strategies, collaborating and communicating with leadership across all lines of business, including their respective engineering, product, partnerships, and analytics teams.
With a strong background in data science and machine learning paired with excellent communication skills, you will architect and implement scalable solutions w/ cross-team alignment that create the best ML-driven experiences for our members, propelling lifetime value and revenue growth for the company and partners. Responsibilities
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and cross-functional teams to architect and implement cutting edge machine learning systems at scale, driving technical strategy and roadmap for AI capabilities
Present and drive alignment w/ Senior Leadership across all lines of business on ad technology innovations
Define and execute the technical vision for current and future ML capabilities as it relates to ad recommendations, with a focus on GenAI and Agentic systems
Design and develop large-scale AI systems, leveraging expertise to evolve current systems and create competitive advantages in ad tech
Stay ahead of industry trends and challenges, identifying opportunities and risks to inform technical decisions and drive innovation
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and oversight to data scientists and engineers, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing
Exhibit intellectual curiosity, intrinsic drive, decisiveness, and resilience in navigating technical ambiguity and complexity
Qualifications
MS/PhD in a quantitative discipline (e.g., computer science, machine learning, data science, engineering) with 10+ years of experience in data science, software engineering, or data architecture
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive innovation
Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale machine learning systems, with expertise in scaling AI-powered solutions
Ability to architect and develop next-generation ML systems, staying ahead of industry trends and integrating latest advancements (e.g., GenAI)
Deep understanding of current ML systems and the ability to evolve them into cutting-edge, innovative, and scalable solutions
Strong background in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++)
Strong understanding of operational maturity, industry challenges, and future risks and opportunities in large-scale AI systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Ad technology and product expertise
Experience with driving monetization through AI
Expertise developing GenAI capabilities and supporting tools and infrastructure
Ability to balance fast paced environments at a large scale company

Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is: $226,000 - $306,000
