Principal Project Manager

Category Program Management & Business Operations Location Mountain View, California; San Diego, California Job ID 20051

Company Overview

Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

Intuit’s GBSG serves growing and mid-market businesses with connected financial and accounting solutions. The Commercial Operations team is the operating system for go-to-market—aligning product, pricing/packaging, channels, and analytics to deliver durable growth with speed and rigor.

We’re seeking a Principal Product Manager to own the end-to-end commercialization engine for the Mid-Market segment. You will define and optimize business models, packaging, and routes-to-market, partner with Finance and Analytics on performance management, and translate customer and market insights into scalable programs. This role blends product strategy, monetization, and operational excellence to accelerate acquisition, expansion, and retention in Mid-Market.

Responsibilities

- Define Mid-Market commercialization strategy: product lineup, packaging, and monetization; lead from hypothesis through in-market experiments to scaled rollout.

- Own business performance rhythms with Finance/Analytics: build targets, track leading indicators, and drive correction plans; produce crisp exec readouts and decisions.

- Partner with Product, Sales, and Marketing to design and operationalize segment plays (positioning, buyer journeys, channel mix, SLAs) that improve conversion and ARPU.

- Stand up pricing and offer tests (e.g., bundles, tiering, trials, incentives); ensure instrumentation and causal readouts; codify learnings into roadmap and GTM.

- Drive cross-functional execution excellence—clarify goals, align dependencies, and unblock delivery across Product Marketing, MarTech/Ops, Legal/Privacy, and Sales.

- Lead competitive and market assessments to inform differentiation, channel strategy, and win-loss actions for Mid-Market accounts.

- Build and scale operating mechanisms: dashboards, playbooks, and SOPs that shorten concept-to-launch cycle time and increase throughput without sacrificing quality.

- Champion customer-back, data-driven decision making; synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights into clear recommendations and trade-offs.

- Coach teams on experiment design, segmentation, and commercialization best practices; raise the bar for speed and quality.

Qualifications

- 8+ years in product management, commercial strategy, or monetization for SaaS; deep experience in Mid-Market or Enterprise segments.

- Demonstrated ownership of pricing/packaging and business model decisions with measurable revenue and adoption impact.

- Strong operator: builds mechanisms, manages complexity, and delivers results in matrixed environments; expert at dependency/risk management and change control.

- Analytical athlete with mastery of experiment design, instrumentation, and performance storytelling; partners tightly with Finance and Analytics.

- Executive communication skills—concise narratives, clear trade-offs, and data-backed recommendations.

- Proven cross-functional leadership across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Operations; comfortable influencing without authority.

- Preferred: experience with channel sales motions, CRM/LCM programs, and MarTech/RevOps stacks; AI fluency to accelerate analysis and execution.
