Sr. Staff Product Manager, (People Tech Systems) AI Innovation
Company Overview
Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.
Job Overview
Intuit's T4i organization is building the next generation of AI-powered systems that transform how we hire, grow, and retain talent at scale. We need a Senior Staff Product Manager who doesn't just manage products but rethinks entire systems through an AI-native lens.
This role leads the product vision for People Tech platforms that span recruiting, workforce intelligence, and employee lifecycle. You will fundamentally reimagine what's possible when AI operates as the system's nervous system, not a bolt-on.
You will own the product strategy for AI-driven capabilities across HR and TA technology: intelligent job definition engines, adaptive interview systems, real-time talent matching, and more. If you believe people systems should be as smart, personalized, and proactive as consumer products, this role is for you.
How You'll Grow
This role sits at the intersection of AI innovation and enterprise platform strategy, two of Intuit's highest-investment areas. You will have a direct line to how Intuit thinks about AI-native internal products, with visibility into company-wide AI strategy.
You will also be helping build toward something bigger: a Workforce Operating System that makes talent as programmable and scalable as software infrastructure. The work you do here shapes Intuit's category-defining approach to workforce AI.
The Senior Staff PM level at Intuit is a recognized technical leadership position. You will shape product direction, influence architecture, and mentor the next generation of AI PMs. The path forward is to Principal PM or GM-level product leadership for AI-powered enterprise systems.
About the Team
People & Places Technology is where Intuit's commitment to its people meets its commitment to AI-first innovation. We build the platforms that power hiring, onboarding, performance, learning, and workforce intelligence for 17,000+ employees worldwide. Our team operates with a builder mentality: we prototype fast, ship iteratively, and hold ourselves to the same craft standards we expect in Intuit's customer-facing products.
We live Intuit's operating values:
- Customer Obsession: Our recruiters and employees are our customers
- Courage: We rethink legacy systems instead of patching them
- Integrity Without Compromise: Responsible AI is non-negotiable
- Stronger Together: We win as a cross-functional team, never in silos
Responsibilities
What You'll Do
- Define and drive the AI-first product vision for People Tech systems, setting the multi-quarter roadmap for how AI transforms recruiting, workforce planning, and employee experience at Intuit scale
- Architect intelligent product capabilities, including structured job definitions that auto-generate inclusive descriptions, interview question guides anchored to craft skills rubrics, and candidate-to-role matching systems grounded in skills, not proxies
- Own the full product lifecycle from discovery through post-launch optimization, using outcome data (time-to-hire, candidate NPS, quality of hire, retention) to continuously refine what the system does and how it learns
- Lead cross-functional strategy across engineering, data science, design, legal/compliance, and HR business partners, translating complex AI capabilities into experiences that recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates trust
- Build the responsible AI framework for people systems, ensuring fairness, auditability, bias detection, and human-in-the-loop governance are product features, not afterthoughts
- Shape platform architecture decisions with engineering, driving API enablement, data pipeline strategy, system orchestration, and integration design across Avature, Workday, and emerging AI services
- Influence Intuit's broader AI strategy by demonstrating what AI-native enterprise products look like when they're built with craft, not hype
What You'll Bring
Technical Craft
- Deep fluency in AI/ML product development: you understand model training loops, data pipelines, prompt engineering, and where to draw the line between automation and human judgment
- Ability to write technical PRDs that engineers respect. You think in systems, APIs, data flows, and architecture tradeoffs, not just feature specs
- Hands-on comfort with AI tools (LLMs, agent frameworks, MCPs, embeddings). You prototype, you build, you evaluate. You don't just point at a roadmap
Execution Excellence
- Track record of shipping AI-powered products from zero-to-one and iterating them from one-to-scale, with measurable business outcomes
- Ability to operate in deep ambiguity: defining the problem, the solution space, and the success criteria when none of them are obvious
- Strong delivery instincts. You scope ruthlessly, sequence dependencies, unblock teams, and hold yourself accountable for outcomes, not just outputs
Customer-Centric Outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize user research, behavioral data, and business signals into product decisions that measurably improve customer outcomes
- Experience building products for enterprise internal customers (HR, recruiting, employee experience) where the "customer" is both the system user and the person being served by the system
- You define success metrics upfront and track post-launch impact with the same rigor as a consumer PM
Accelerating Teams
- Experience leading through influence across engineering, data science, design, and business stakeholders without direct authority
- Track record of mentoring PMs, elevating team rituals, and building product culture, not just shipping your own features
- Ability to translate complex AI capabilities into narratives that non-technical executives, legal teams, and HR leaders can act on
Qualifications
Required
- 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on AI/ML-powered products
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Proven track record of managing the end-to-end product lifecycle for enterprise or platform products
- Experience leading cross-functional teams (engineering, data science, design) and influencing without direct authority
- Strong analytical and data skills with demonstrated ability to define success metrics and measure product impact
Preferred
- Master's degree or MBA
- Experience with HR/TA technology ecosystems (ATS, HRIS, workforce analytics)
- Background in responsible AI, fairness frameworks, or compliance-sensitive product domains
- Familiarity with Intuit's craft skills rubric and operating values
- Experience building agentic AI systems or multi-model orchestration products
