Staff Market Researcher
Company Overview
Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.
Job Overview
Intuit’s Strategic Research & Analytics (SRA) team is looking for a Staff Market Researcher to serve as a strategic intelligence partner for the Intuit platform brand. We don’t just manage data or research; we transform them into proprietary strategic advantages by applying robust evidence-based synthesis—connecting the dots across complex, disparate data sets and custom research to provide the actionable intelligence that gives our partners the confidence to take bold risks and invest to win.
In this role, you will be the objective voice of the customer/audience, bridging the gap between human empathy and strategic business implications to drive marketing excellence. You will work on research strategy for the Intuit Brand, overseeing global brand health, creative optimization, in-market creative measurement, and high-stakes strategic research initiatives. We are looking for a leader with "extreme ownership" who can navigate ambiguity and move with the velocity required to power prosperity globally.
What You’ll Bring:
Strategic Mindset: 7+ years of driving brand performance through high-impact insights (both quantitative and qualitative).
Extreme Ownership & Resourcefulness: A "figure it out" mentality with a track record of navigating ambiguity. You don’t wait for a roadmap; you proactively identify information gaps, seek out answers, and go the extra mile to ensure a project’s success without needing hand-holding.
Meticulous Attention to Detail: An internal drive for precision in the "last 10%," from flawless survey logic to triple-checked data points - ensuring that stakeholders always have 100% confidence in your output.
Customer Obsession: A passion for translating customer truth into measurable business impact.
Intuit Values: Smart, humble, curious, and a collaborative team player.
Responsibilities
Strategic Brand Partnership & Influence: Serve as one of the lead insights partners for the Intuit Brand team. Act as a "proactive, strategic thinking partner" with a courageous, objective voice to inform and inspire brand strategy and global growth initiatives.
Global Brand Health Leadership: Lead the strategic direction and regional deep-dives for the global brand health of Intuit brand. Go beyond standard reporting to discover and communicate meaningful insights that explain the "why" and "so what" behind brand performance across global markets.
Creative/Sponsorship Excellence & Optimization: Drive the research strategy for high-stakes creative pre-testing, in-market campaign measurement, and sponsorship evaluation. Partner with the Brand team to provide strategic consultation and ensure all creative is optimized for maximum impact and ROI.
Insight Synthesis & "Connecting the Dots": Master the ecosystem view by applying robust evidence-based synthesis—triangulating data from brand trackers, ad-hoc studies, and competitive trends to provide a holistic view of the customer and business impact.
Leading High-Impact Initiatives: Identify critical information gaps and build robust learning plans for new Intuit strategic initiatives. Navigate ambiguity by working with incomplete data to drive the "actionable intelligence" required for high-velocity decision-making.
Operational Excellence & Extreme Ownership: Take full accountability for end-to-end research programs. This includes identifying the right research questions, managing external agency vendors, and ruthlessly prioritizing budget and bandwidth toward the highest-impact opportunities.
Proactive Project Stewardship: Act as the "CEO" of your research programs. This means obsessing over the details: managing timelines, ensuring every technical step is accounted for, and keeping all stakeholders (Marketing, Agency, Analytics, etc.) proactively "in the loop" before they ever have to ask for an update.
Reliable Delivery & Velocity: Ruthlessly prioritize and manage your workflow to deliver high-quality projects on time, every time. You anticipate potential roadblocks early and escalate with solutions, not just problems, to keep the business moving at Intuit speed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the Data & Analytics team to link the "voice of the customer" to behavioral data and measurable business outcomes, ensuring a 360-degree understanding of brand performance. Work side-by-side with brand & performance marketing and product leaders to define the most critical research questions and facilitate the synthesis that turns insights into business action.
Qualifications
Extensive Research Experience: 7+ years of experience as a marketing researcher, preferably in the technology sector and preferably with client-side experience.
Brand & Creative Subject Matter Expertise: Deep expertise in global brand health measurement/tracking, creative pre-testing (optimization), and in-market campaign measurement.
Methodological Breadth: Proven proficiency in a wide array of qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
Analytical & Synthesis Acumen: Strong ability to "connect the dots" across disparate data sources. While you aren't the primary data modeler, you must be comfortable with data and able to distill complex findings into clear, compelling narratives and visualizations (infographics, dashboards, etc.).
Strategic Influence: Demonstrated ability to use customer insights to drive holistic marketing strategy and influence senior-level stakeholders.
Technical Proficiency: Experience programming surveys and discussion guides, and performing independent data analysis/synthesis using DIY software is preferred.
Agile & Forward-Thinking: You should have a curiosity for leveraging emerging technologies, such as Generative AI, to improve research efficiency and innovation. Existing experience using Generative AI in Research processes and projects preferred.
Collaborative Mindset: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven track record of collaborating across diverse disciplines, cultures, and global regions.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
