About the Role
We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer who has a quality-first mindset Sound Exposure particularly in Python. You will work closely with our engineering team to test features, automate test scenarios, improve test coverage, and contribute to building a reliable, scalable product. This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow into a Test Automation / SDET role.
What You’ll Do
- Understand product requirements and translate them into test strategies and test cases.
- Execute functional, integration, and regression tests for web applications and APIs.
- Identify, report, and track defects using standard defect tracking tools.
- Write basic automated test scripts using Python and PyTest (or willing to learn quickly).
- Help maintain and enhance internal test automation frameworks.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues and ensure high-quality releases.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, test tooling, and coverage.
You’re a Fit If You Have
- 2–4 years of experience in QA, Test Engineering, or related engineering roles.
- Exposure to Selenium, PyTest, or other automation frameworks
- Familiarity with Postman / Python-based API testing libraries (e.g., requests).
- Good understanding of Python (can write functions, loops, basic scripts).
- Strong grasp of software testing fundamentals (SDLC, STLC, test design techniques).
- Familiarity with testing web applications and REST APIs.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Analytical mindset, structured thinking, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Bonus Points
- Familiarity with Postman / Python-based API testing libraries (e.g., requests).
- Understanding of CI/CD and testing in pipelines.
- Knowledge of Docker / containers.
- Experience with SQL / databases.
- Curiosity about Machine Learning / AI systems.
