The SVP, Client role is a dynamic client-facing role at Assurely. This role gives you the opportunity to help your clients and insurance adapt to the new normal while being an integral part of a funded, fast-growing team. 

We are looking for a passionate, proven, technical insurance professional that blends brokerage or client advisory, underwriting, and account management skill sets.  This person will be a client-first professional with the ability to synthesize complex insurance products for corporate insurance clients. Helping your clients understand the ‘why’ is a crucial skill set. You will be expected to be able to communicate the corresponding value of an insurance recommendation to your clients’ business.

Your primary responsibilities will be to drive business development and client advisory efforts in Assurely’s focused market segments and to support additional growth needs when appropriate. You will also contribute and support the build out of an insurance operations infrastructure that enables Assurely’s long-term vision.


  • Demonstrate technical knowledge necessary to communicate Assurely product and technology solutions effectively

  • Achieve new business sales, retention, and account expansion goals within Assurely’s target market of companies and partners on a quarterly basis

  • Facilitate the necessary insurance operations and customer service objectives

  • Communicate customer and prospect product pain points to appropriate stakeholders both internally and externally

  • Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize the sales effort

  • Be a disciplined champion of the Assurely culture and brand with external and internal partners, vendors, clients, and colleagues


  • A self-motivated, entrepreneurial spirit with excellent organization and a habit of assiduity

  • 4-8+ years of experience in insurance brokerage, carrier, or a related insurance business sales and/or account management position (experience is agnostic to SMB, middle-market, and enterprise customers)

  • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships

  • Demonstrates an ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally and a commitment to coming through for people

  • Demonstrates a logical, rational approach to tackling new ideas, sorting information, and discovering creative solutions as problems are presented

  • Self-motivated with intense curiosity 

  • Current insurance licensing

  • Technological sophistication and ability to learn new systems

  • Experience with multiple lines of insurance coverage

  • FinTech experience

  • Financial lines/ specialty lines experience

  • Ability to underwrite accounts profitably or demonstrated knowledge of underwriting systems

  • Deep insurance UW relationships
