As a Customer Account Executive, SMB, you’ll work directly with your Sales Manager to master our product, sales process, forecast methodology and internal tools – to facilitate meetings with both your customers/prospects and internal partners and sell our platform to achieve your goals. You will manage your territory, originate leads, create, and close full cycle sales opportunities. You’ll work closely with our existing customers and partner with CSM’s to ensure our customers achieve their primary business objectives, while also overseeing expansion sales and collaborating with Renewals Managers for contract renewals spanning single and multi-year terms.

You’re energized by uncovering expansion opportunities that address clear, measurable challenges and helping customers unlock more value from what they already use. You take feedback well, adapt quickly, and balance thoughtful selling with consistent momentum.

What you get to do every day:

  • Own a portfolio of existing SMB customers with clear expansion potential
  • Partner with your Sales Manager to review pipeline, forecast, and strategies to exceed quota
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Customer Success, Renewals, Marketing, Finance, Product Marketing) to drive adoption and uncover growth opportunities
  • Lead customer conversations across the full sales cycle: discovery, demo, proposal, negotiation, and close
  • Train new, experienced, and stakeholder users on the platform, relevant use cases, and strategies to maximize value from AlertMedia
  • Execute AlertMedia’s proven sales methodology with consistency and urgency
  • Continuously improve your sales motion based on coaching, data, and customer feedback

What you bring to the role:

  • 1–2 years of experience in a sales or SDR role (SaaS preferred)
  • A track record of success in prospecting, pipeline management, and closing deals
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguous org structures and resourceful in uncovering who owns decisions, even when titles are unclear or responsibilities overlap
  • Ability to prioritize high-velocity opportunities while also working strategic growth plays
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to be personable, persistent, and proactive.
  • Comfortable with change; you adapt quickly and contribute to improving sales process
  • Experience using Salesforce and Outreach.io is a plus
  • This is a hybrid role based in Austin, Texas. Must live in Austin or surrounding area
